The Senate passed S. 4171, as amended, The International Trafficking Victim Protection Reauthorization Act of 2022 by a voice vote.

By a vote of 54-42, the Senate Invoked cloture on Executive Calendar #1148 Jerry W. Blackwell to be United States District Judge for the District of Minnesota.

By a vote of 62-31, the Senate invoked cloture on Executive Calendar #1129 Doris L. Pryor to be United States Circuit Judge for the Seventh Circuit.

By a vote of 25-70, the Sullivan substitute amendment, Executive Calendar #6503 to H.J.Res.100, is not adopted.

By a vote of 52-43: H.Con.Res.119 is not agreed to (60-vote affirmative threshold).

By a vote of 80-15-1: the Senate passed H.J.Res.100. Senator Rand Paul voted “present”.

Floor Schedule

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Thursday, April 30th. Following Leader Remarks, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to ten minutes each.

At approximately 11:30am, the Senate is expected to vote on the motion to invoke cloture on S.Res.690, an executive resolution authorizing the en bloc consideration in Executive Session of (49) certain nominations on the Executive Calendar.  If cloture is invoked on S.Res.690, all post-cloture time will be considered expired and the Senate will vote on adoption of the resolution at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader, in consultation with the Democratic Leader, no earlier than Friday, May 1st.

At approximately 1:45pm, a roll call vote on the motion to discharge S.J.Res 184, A joint resolution to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities within or against the Islamic Republic of Iran that have not been authorized by Congress from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee (Schiff) is expected.
