The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.  Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #546, Joshua Frost, of New York, to be an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, post-cloture.

11:45am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Frost nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #674, Elizabeth de Leon Bhargava, of New York, to be an Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

The Senate will then recess until 2:15pm for the weekly caucus meetings.

At 2:30pm the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Bhargava nomination.

Additional roll call votes are expected during Tuesday’s session in relation to S.J.Res.39, Vaccine/Masks in Head Start CRA, and in relation to some of the motions to instruct with respect to H.R.4521, USICA/COMPETES.

Confirmed by a vote of 54-42, Executive Calendar #546 Joshua Frost to be an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury.

By a vote of 61-35, the Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of Elizabeth de Leon Bhargava to be an Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. The confirmation vote will occur at 2:30pm today.

The Senate stands in recess until 2:15pm for the party lunches.

Passed by a vote of 55-41: S.J.Res 39 – A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval of the rule submitted by the Department of HHS relating to Vaccine and Mask Requirements to Mitigate the Spread of COVID-19 in Head Start Programs.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.
