At 11:45am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #708, Ann Claire Phillips, of Virginia, to be Administrator of the Maritime Administration.
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on Executive Calendar #773, Asmeret Asefaw Berhe, of California, to be Director of the Office of Science, Department of Energy.

Following the cloture vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

At approximately 2:30pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of the Berhe nomination.

Following the Berhe vote, Senator Schumer is expected to move to reconsider the nomination of Lisa DeNell Cook to be a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, and the Senate will immediately proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Cook nomination upon reconsideration.

If the motion is made and cloture is invoked on the Cook nomination upon reconsideration, there will be up to two hours of debate prior to the Senate proceeding to a roll call vote on confirmation of the Cook nomination.

By a vote of 50-49, the Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of Lisa Cook to be a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System for the unexpired term of 14 years from February 1, 2010, upon reconsideration.

Confirmed 51-50, with VP Harris casting the tie breaking vote: Executive Calendar #844, Lisa DeNell Cook to be a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System for the unexpired term of fourteen years from February 1, 2010.
