The Senate convened at 12:00pm.

The Senate adopted by voice vote Sullivan amendment #5192 to the Resolution of Advice and Consent to Ratification for (Treaty Doc. 117-3) the Protocols to the North Atlantic Treaty of 1949 on the Accession of the Republic of Finland and the Kingdom of Sweden.

Not adopted, 10-87: Paul amendment #5191 (re: declaration of war) to the Resolution of Advice and Consent to Ratification for (Treaty Doc. 117-3) the Protocols to the North Atlantic Treaty of 1949 on the Accession of the Republic of Finland and the Kingdom of Sweden.

ADOPTED, 95-1 and one Senator voting Present: The Resolution of Advice and Consent to Ratification for (Treaty Doc. 117-3) the Protocols to the North Atlantic Treaty of 1949 on the Accession of the Republic of Finland and the Kingdom of Sweden, as amended.

By unanimous consent, at a time to be determined, the Senate will proceed to Executive Calendar #1100, Roopali H. Desai to be United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit, there will be 10 minutes of debate, and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination.

The Senate will convene at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, August 4, 2022.

At 1:45pm, the Senate will proceed to two votes:

  1. Passage of S.J. Res. 55, the Sullivan NEPA Permitting Reform Resolution of Disapproval.
  2. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #1100, Roopali H. Desai to be United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 28th.

At 11:00am – 2 roll call votes expected:

  1. Motion to proceed to Executive Session for the consideration of S.Res.690 En Bloc Nominations
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to Cal. #373, S.4344 To extend section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 for 3 years.

The Senate will recess from 12:30pm until 4:00pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings and the joint meeting.

At 3:00pm, His Majesty King Charles III will address a Joint Meeting of Congress in the Hall of the House of Representatives.  Senators will assemble in the Senate Chamber at 2:20pm. Senators, led by Senate leadership, including the Secretary of the Senate and the Deputy Sergeant at Arms, will proceed to the House Chamber at 2:25pm.

At approx. 5:00pm – 1 roll call vote expected:

  1. Motion to discharge SFRC of S.J.Res.124, A joint resolution to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities within or against the Republic of Cuba that have not been authorized by Congress.
