By a vote of 52-46, the nomination is confirmed for Executive Calendar #15, Adrienne C. Nelson to be United States District Judge for the District of Oregon

By a vote of 52-47, the Senate invoked cloture on Executive Calendar #10, Ana C. Reyes to be United States District Judge for the District of Columbia.

By a vote of 52-46, the Senate invoked cloture on Executive Calendar #11 Daniel J. Calabretta to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of California.

Nomination confirmed, 51-47: Executive Calendar, #10 Ana C. Reyes to be United States District Judge for the District of Columbia.

Cloture invoked by a vote of 64-33: Executive Calendar #1 Lester Martinez-Lopez, of Florida, to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense, vice Thomas McCaffery.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Thursday, February 16, 2023. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the nomination of Lester Martinez-Lopez to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense, post-cloture.

At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes relative to the following:

  • Confirmation of the nomination of Daniel J. Calabretta to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of California.
  • Confirmation of the nomination of Lester Martinez-Lopez to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense.
  • At approximately 1:45pm, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Maria Araújo Kahn to be United States Circuit Judge for the Second Circuit.
