The Senate convened at 10:00am.

By a vote of 50-46, the Senate confirmed Tanya J. Bradsher, of Virginia, to be Deputy Secretary of Veterans Affairs.

Cloture Invoked, 51-44: Executive Calendar #124 Jeffrey Irvine Cummings to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.

Confirmed 50-45: Executive Calendar #124 Jeffrey Irvine Cummings to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.

Invoked, 85-12: Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to Cal. #198, H.R.4366, vehicle for Appropriations Minibus (MilCon/VA, Agriculture, T-HUD).

The Senate will convene at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 and will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to H.R.4366, vehicle for Appropriations Minibus (MilCon/VA, Agriculture, T-HUD), post-cloture.

There are no votes scheduled at this time.
