The Senate stands in recess until 10:00am on Wednesday, May 11, 2022.  Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session to resume consideration of the motion to discharge from the Judiciary Committee the nomination of Charlotte Sweeney, of Colorado, to be US District Judge for the District of Colorado.

11:00am, the Senate will vote on the motion to discharge followed by an immediate cloture vote on Executive Calendar #848 Alvaro M. Bedoya, of Maryland, to be a Federal Trade Commissioner.

If cloture is invoked on the Bedoya nomination, the vote on confirmation will occur at 2:30pm, followed by an immediate cloture vote on the motion to proceed to Calendar #362, S.4132, Women’s Health Protection Act.

If cloture is invoked, there would be up to 30 hours of post-cloture debate time on the motion to proceed. If cloture is not invoked, there would be an immediate cloture vote on Executive Calendar #865 Julia Ruth Gordon, of Maryland, to be an Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

Additional roll call votes are expected during Wednesday’s session but not yet scheduled.

Senator Cantwell made the motion to discharge from Commerce Committee PN1542, Mary T. Boyle, of Maryland, to be a Commissioner of the Consumer Product Safety Commission for a term of seven years from October 27, 2018.

Senator Cantwell ask for Unanimous Consent to confirm the Coast Guard promotions: Executive Calendar #909-914. The promotions were confirmed en bloc without objection.
