Invoked 64-32: Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to concur in the House amendment to H.R. 4346 (legislative vehicle for CHIPS+ legislation), with Schumer amendment to improve the bill (5135). Unless an agreement is reached, the vote on final passage is expected to occur on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

The Senate recessed from 12:30pm to 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

At 11:30am on Wednesday, July 27, the Senate will proceed to two votes:

  1. Motion to waive the Sanders budget point of order with respect to the Schumer substitute amendment to the House Message to accompany HR 4346, the CHIPS+ legislation.
  2. Motion to concur in the House amendment to HR 4346 (legislative vehicle for CHIPS+ legislation), with Schumer amendment to improve the bill (5135).

At 4:30pm on Wednesday, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to concur in the House amendment to S.3373, the legislative vehicle for the PACT Act.

Agreed to 63-32: Motion to waive the Sen. Scott (FL) budget point of order with respect to the Schumer substitute amendment to House Message to accompany HR 4346, the CHIPS+ legislation. The point of order fails.
