The Senate convened at 10:00am.

Following Leader remarks the Senate will resume the motion to concur of the House message to accompany H.R. 4346.

At 11:30am  the Senate will proceed to two votes:

1.Motion to waive the Sanders budget point of order with respect to the Schumer substitute amendment to the House Message to accompany HR 4346, the CHIPS+ legislation.

2.Motion to concur in the House amendment to HR 4346 (legislative vehicle for CHIPS+ legislation), with Schumer amendment to improve the bill (5135).

At 4:30pm, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to concur in the House amendment to S.3373, the legislative vehicle for the PACT Act.

Agreed to 64-33: Motion to waive the Sanders budget point of order with respect to the Schumer substitute amendment to the House Message to accompany HR 4346, the vehicle for CHIPS+ legislation. The point of order falls.

By a vote of 55-42, the Senate did not invoke cloture on the motion to concur in the House amendment to S.3373, the legislative vehicle for the PACT Act.

Schumer entered a motion to reconsider the failed cloture vote on the motion to concur in the House amendment to S.3373, the legislative vehicle for the PACT Act.

The Senate passed by Unanimous Consent S.4359 – Senator Johnny Isakson VA Regional Office Act of 2022.

This bill designates the Department of Veterans Affairs Atlanta Regional Office in Georgia as the Senator Johnny Isakson Department of Veterans Affairs Atlanta Regional Office or the Isakson VA Atlanta Regional Office.

  2. The nomination of Christopher R. Wolfe to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Texas.
