The Senate convened for the Second Session of the 117th Congress at 12:00 Noon. 

Cloture was filed on the nomination of Anne Witkowsky to be an Assistant Secretary of State for Conflict and Stabilization Operations. The vote on the Sanchez nomination will now occur on Tuesday at 12:00 noon, after which the Senate will recess to accommodate the Tuesday luncheons. 

At 12:17 PM, the Senate adjourned.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am.

11:30am – 2 votes:

  • Confirmation of Luke Pettit to be Assistant Secretary of the Treasury.
  • Motion to Invoke Cloture on Anthony J. Tata to be Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness.

The Senate will then recess until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

2:15pm – 2 votes (if cloture is invoked):

  • Confirmation of Anthony J. Tata to be Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness.
  • Motion to Invoke Cloture on Joseph Edlow to be Director of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of Homeland Security.
