Following any Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #985 John Z. Lee, of Illinois, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Seventh Circuit.

The Senate will vote at 5:30pm on the motion to invoke cloture on the Lee nomination.

Leader Schumer filed cloture on the following nominations:

1. Executive Calendar #1043, Arianna J. Freeman to be United States Circuit Judge for the Third Circuit.

2. Executive Calendar #986, Salvador Mendoza, Jr. to be United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.

The Senate will recess from 12:30pm to 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

At 11:00am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes relative to the following:

  1. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Jonathan Gould to be Comptroller of the Currency for a term of five years.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Whitney D. Hermandorfer to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.

If cloture is invoked on the Hermandorfer nomination, all post-cloture time will be considered expired, and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination at a time to be determined on Monday July 14th by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader.

At approximately 1:45pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of the Gould nomination.
