After Leader remarks the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #1033 Lara E. Montecalvo, of Rhode Island, to be United States Circuit Judge for the First Circuit.

At 5:30pm the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #986 Salvador Mendoza, Jr., of Washington, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit.

Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #1043 Arianna J. Freeman, of Pennsylvania, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Third Circuit and vote on the motion to invoke cloture.

Confirmed, 46-40: Confirmation of the nomination of Salvador Mendoza, Jr. to be United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit.

Invoked, 45-44: Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Arianna J. Freeman to be United States Circuit Judge for the Third Circuit.

Agreed to by Division Vote: Treaties Cal. #4 – Extradition Treaty with the Republic of Croatia (Treaty Doc. No. 116-2).

  1. Confirmation of the nomination of Arianna J. Freeman to be United States Circuit Judge for the Third Circuit.
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on the nomination of Lara E. Montecalvo to be United States Circuit Judge for the First Circuit.

The Senate will recess from 12:30pm until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

At 11:00am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes relative to the following:

  1. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Jonathan Gould to be Comptroller of the Currency for a term of five years.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Whitney D. Hermandorfer to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.

If cloture is invoked on the Hermandorfer nomination, all post-cloture time will be considered expired, and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination at a time to be determined on Monday July 14th by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader.

At approximately 1:45pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of the Gould nomination.
