The Senate convened at 3:00pm.

Invoked, 83-10: Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Philip Nathan Jefferson to be Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System for a term of four years.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

Two votes at 11:30am:

  1. Confirmation of Philip Nathan Jefferson to be Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System for a term of four years.
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on Gwynne A. Wilcox to be a Member of the National Labor Relations Board for the term of five years expiring August 27, 2028.

Following the cloture vote on the Wilcox nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly party caucus lunches.

Two votes at 2:15pm:

  1. Confirmation of Gwynne A. Wilcox to be a Member of the National Labor Relations Board for the term of five years expiring August 27, 2028 (if cloture invoked).
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on Lisa DeNell Cook to be a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System for a term of fourteen years from February 1, 2024.

Two votes at 5:15pm:

  1. Confirmation of Lisa DeNell Cook to be a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System for a term of fourteen years from February 1, 2024 (if cloture invoked).
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on Adriana Debora Kugler to be a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System for the unexpired term of fourteen years from February 1, 2012.

Cloture has been filed on Anna M. Gomez to be a Member of the Federal Communications Commission for a term of five years from July 1, 2021.

The Senate adjourned at 6:50pm.

5:30pm Monday, April 13th the Senate is expected to proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Shepherd nomination.

  1. The nomination of John Thomas Shepherd to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas.
  2. The nomination of Christopher R. Wolfe to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Texas.
