On Monday, January 22, 2024, Leader Schumer filed cloture on the following nominations:

  1. Jacquelyn D. Austin, of South Carolina, to be United States District Judge for the District of South Carolina.
  2. Cristal C. Brisco, of Indiana, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Indiana.
  3. Gretchen S. Lund, of Indiana, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Indiana.

Cloture Invoked, 82-7: Executive Calendar #358 Christopher Koos, of Illinois, to be a Director of the Amtrak Board of Directors for a term of five years.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

At 11:30am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes:

  1. Confirmation of Christopher Koos to be a Director of the Amtrak Board of Directors for a term of five years.
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on Anthony Rosario Coscia to be a Director of the Amtrak Board of Directors for a term of five years.

Following the cloture vote on the Coscia nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly party caucus lunches.

At 2:15pm (if cloture is invoked), the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes:

  1. Confirmation of Anthony Rosario Coscia to be a Director of the Amtrak Board of Directors for a term of five years.
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on Joel Matthew Szabat to be a Director of the Amtrak Board of Directors for a term of five years.

At 6:00pm (if cloture is invoked), the Senate will proceed to one roll call vote:

  1. Confirmation of Joel Matthew Szabat to be a Director of the Amtrak Board of Directors for a term of five years.
