The Senate will convene at 11:30am on Friday, October 3rd, 2025.

At 1:30pm, on Friday, October 3rd, the Senate is expected to proceed to up to three roll call votes on the following:

  1. Adoption of Executive Calendar #2, S.Res.412 (an executive resolution authorizing the en bloc consideration in Executive Session of certain nominations on the Executive Calendar,).
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on motion to proceed to S. 2882, Democrat Continuing Resolution, upon reconsideration.
  3. (If cloture is not invoked) Motion to invoke cloture on motion to proceed to H.R. 5371, Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2026, upon reconsideration.

The Senate stands in recess until Monday, February 23, 2026, other than for pro forma sessions on the following dates, during which no business shall be conducted:

Following the Address, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.

At approximately 5:30pm, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R.7147, an act making further consolidated appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, and for other purposes.
