At 5:30pm, the Senate will vote on the Motion to Invoke Cloture on Tester amendment #5051 (Substitute) to H.R.3967, Honoring our PACT Act of 2021.

Leader Schumer filed cloture on the following nominations:

  1. Executive Calendar #969, Ana Isabel de Alba to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of California.
  2. Executive Calendar #919, Mary T. Boyle to be a Commissioner of the Consumer Product Safety Commission for a term of seven years from October 27, 2018.

Invoked 78-17: Motion to Invoke Cloture on Tester amendment #5051 (Substitute) to H.R. 3967, A bill to improve health care and benefits for veterans exposed to toxic substances.

The following nominations were confirmed by voice vote:

  1. Executive Calendar #990, Joshua D. Hurwit to be United States Attorney for the District of Idaho, for the term of four years.
  2. Executive Calendar #991, Gerard M. Karam to be United States Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania for the term of four years.
  3. Executive Calendar #992, Jacqueline C. Romero to be United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania for the term of four years.

The Senate will convene at 11:00am on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Tester amendment #5051 (Substitute) to H.R. 3967 (A bill to improve health care and benefits for veterans exposed to toxic substances), post-cloture.

The Senate will recess from 12:30pm to 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Thursday, April 30th. Following Leader Remarks, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to ten minutes each.

At approximately 11:30am, the Senate is expected to vote on the motion to invoke cloture on S.Res.690, an executive resolution authorizing the en bloc consideration in Executive Session of (49) certain nominations on the Executive Calendar.  If cloture is invoked on S.Res.690, all post-cloture time will be considered expired and the Senate will vote on adoption of the resolution at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader, in consultation with the Democratic Leader, no earlier than Friday, May 1st.

At approximately 1:45pm, a roll call vote on the motion to discharge S.J.Res 184, A joint resolution to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities within or against the Islamic Republic of Iran that have not been authorized by Congress from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee (Schiff) is expected.
