Leader Thune entered a motion to reconsider the failed cloture vote on the motion to proceed to Cal. #168, H.R.5371, Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2026.

Leader Thune has filed cloture on:

1. Executive Calendar #460 Harold D. Mooty III to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama.

2. Motion to proceed to Cal. #136, H.R.4016, Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 2026.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

The Senate will recess from 12:30pm – 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

At 2:15pm, the Senate is expected to vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to Cal. #168, H.R.5371, Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2026, upon reconsideration.
