By a vote of 65-31: the Senate confirmed Executive Calendar #1146 Dana M. Douglas, of Louisiana, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Fifth Circuit, vice James L. Dennis, retiring.
By a vote of 70-27: the Senate confirmed Executive Calendar #1103 Jay Curtis Shambaugh to be an Under Secretary of the Treasury.
The Senate will convene at 12:00pm on Wednesday, April 29th. Following Leader Remarks, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to ten minutes each.
At approximately 2:15pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination of Robert Cekada to be Director, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
