The Senate convened at 3:00pm.

Leader Schumer has filed cloture on the following nominations:

  1. Executive Calendar #7 Lindsay C. Jenkins, of Illinois, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.
  2. Executive Calendar #12 Matthew L. Garcia, of New Mexico, to be United States District Judge for the District of New Mexico.
  3. Executive Calendar #15 Adrienne C. Nelson, of Oregon, to be United States District Judge for the District of Oregon
  4. Executive Calendar #10, Ana C. Reyes to be United States District Judge for the District of Columbia.
  5. Executive Calendar #11, Daniel J. Calabretta to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of California.
  6. Executive Calendar #1, Lester Martinez-Lopez to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense.
  7. Executive Calendar #6 Maria Araujo Kahn to be United States Circuit Judge for the Second Circuit.

Nomination confirmed, 50-44: Cindy K. Chung to be United States Circuit Judge for the Third Circuit.

Cloture on the nomination invoked, 52-44: Gina R. Mendez-Miro to be United States District Judge for the District of Puerto Rico.

The Senate will convene at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

Two votes at 11:30am:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #9 Gina R. Mendez-Miro to be United States District Judge for the District of Puerto Rico.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #7 Lindsay C. Jenkins, of Illinois, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.

The Senate will then recess until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

Two votes at 2:15pm:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #7 Lindsay C. Jenkins, of Illinois, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois (if cloture invoked).
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #12 Matthew L. Garcia, of New Mexico, to be United States District Judge for the District of New Mexico.

When the Senate next convenes at 3:00pm on Monday, April 13th, following Leader remarks, it will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the nomination of John Thomas Shepherd to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas.

5:30pm Monday, April 13th the Senate is expected to proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Shepherd nomination.

Cloture was filed on the following nominations:

  1. The nomination of John Thomas Shepherd to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas.
  2. The nomination of Christopher R. Wolfe to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Texas.
