Cloture invoked by a vote of 52-40: Executive Calendar #62 Brent Neiman to be a Deputy Under Secretary of the Treasury.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

Two votes at 11:30am:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #62 Brent Neiman to be a Deputy Under Secretary of the Treasury.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #65 Eric M. Garcetti to be Ambassador to the Republic of India.

Following the cloture vote on Garcetti, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

Two votes at 2:15pm:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #65 Eric M. Garcetti to be Ambassador to the Republic of India (if cloture is invoked).
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #2 Ravi Chaudhary to be an Assistant Secretary of the Air Force.

Two votes at 5:15pm:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #2 Ravi Chaudhary to be an Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (if cloture is invoked).
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #18 Laura Taylor-Kale to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense.

Today in the Senate

Leader Schumer filed cloture on:

  1. Executive Calendar #27 Jessica G. L. Clarke to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York.
  2. Motion to proceed to Cal. #25, S.316, Repealing the Authorizations for Use of Military Force Against Iraq.

By voice vote, the Senate confirmed Executive Calendar #67 Michael Alan Ratney to be U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
