Minority Leader Schumer filed cloture on Schumer amendment #3849 (To direct the Attorney General to make publicly available documents related to Jeffrey Epstein) to S. 2296, The National Defense Authorization Act.

Agreed to, 51-49: Thune motion to table Schumer amendment #3849 to Cal. #115, S.2296, FY2026 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

The Senate passed Calendar #109, S.93, a bill to amend the Harmful Algal Blooms Act of 1998 and for other purposes.

The Senate passed Calendar #119, S.306, a bill to establish and maintain a coordinated program within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and for other purposes.

The Senate passed Calendar #146, S.725, a bill to direct the Federal Communications Commission to issue reports and for other purposes.

The Senate passed Calendar #117, S.759, a bill to provide for the standardization, publication, and accessibility of data relating to public outdoor recreational use of federal waterways and for other purposes.

The Senate agreed to S.Res.383, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the conclusion of World War II with the surrender of Imperial Japan and honoring veterans of the Pacific and European theaters.

The Senate will next convene 10:00am on Thursday, September 11, 2025. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of S.2296, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026. No votes are scheduled, but are expected during Thursday’s session.
