UPDATE:

The Senate will hold two roll call votes at 6:45pm tonight:

1. Motion to discharge the Committee on Foreign Relations from further consideration of S.Res.504

2. Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R.2872, the legislative vehicle for the CR.

Agreed to, 72-11: Motion to table the Sanders motion to discharge from Foreign Relations Committee S.Res.504, Sanders Israel Resolution.

Invoked, 68-13: Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to Cal. #243, H.R.2872, legislative vehicle for a Continuing Resolution.

The Senate adjourned at 9:14 p.m.

The Senate stands in recess until Monday, April 13, 2026, other than for pro forma sessions only, with no business conducted, on the following dates and times:

When the Senate next convenes at 3:00pm on Monday, April 13th, following Leader remarks, it will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the nomination of John Thomas Shepherd to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas.

5:30pm Monday, April 13th the Senate is expected to proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Shepherd nomination.

Cloture was filed on the following nominations:

  1. The nomination of John Thomas Shepherd to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas.
  2. The nomination of Christopher R. Wolfe to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Texas.
