Confirmed, 49-47: Confirmation of Executive Calendar #114 Kalpana Kotagal to be a Member of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for a term expiring July 1, 2027.

Invoked, 51-44: Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #141 David M. Uhlmann to be an Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.

By a vote of 50-45, the Senate invoked cloture on Executive Calendar #21 Rachel Bloomekatz, of Ohio, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit, vice R. Guy Cole, Jr., retiring.

The Senate will convene for a pro forma session on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 9:30am.

The Senate will next convene at 3:00pm on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.

At 5:30pm, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #21 Rachel Bloomekatz, of Ohio, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to Cal. #119, S.2226, FY2024 NDAA.

At 11:00am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes relative to the following:

  1. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Jonathan Gould to be Comptroller of the Currency for a term of five years.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Whitney D. Hermandorfer to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.

If cloture is invoked on the Hermandorfer nomination, all post-cloture time will be considered expired, and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination at a time to be determined on Monday July 14th by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader.

At approximately 1:45pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of the Gould nomination.
