The Senate convened at 3:00 PM.
Leader Schumer filed cloture on the following nominations:
- Benjamin J. Cheeks, of California, to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of California.
- Serena Raquel Murillo, of California, to be United States District Judge for the Central District of California.
Cloture invoked, 83-12: Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to concur with respect to the House message accompanying H.R.5009, (National Defense Authorization Act).
The Senate stands in recess until 10:00am on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
Following morning business, the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to concur with respect to the House message accompanying H.R.5009, (National Defense Authorization Act), post-cloture.
The Senate will recess from 12:30pm until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.
Roll call votes are possible during Tuesday’s session but are not yet scheduled.
The Senate adjourned at 7:16pm.
